FAQs

How do I rent a bike through the website?

That’s easy, simply go to the Bike Rental page and complete the details and then send that off to us. We’ll then immediately send you a proposal for the date(s) and bike(s) requested.

Must I pay for the bike rental beforehand?

Not necessary at all, you can pay for the rental once you return the bike. You will need to bring your ID or Passport with you.

What do I need to bring?

We highly recommend you bring your own pedals, shoes, riding gear and helmet. We can loan you some basic flat pedals and we also rent helmets. We do have a selection of riding gear available to buy in our retail space but we recommend travelling ready with your gear.

What trails can I ride?

Being situated in a National Park means there are some restrictions, but those trails are clearly marked as being for walkers only. These are in the minority. The majority of trails near Cumbres Verdes (and we also recommend Güejar Sierra, a short drive away) are excellent for trail bikes. Using the TrailForks app is also recommended. For the Downhill bikes we have a 4 minute track right beside our village, the "Greg Minnaar" track, and then there are more on the coast, about 30mins away, and we can help you find those.

Do you have trail guides?

We recommend contacting Shaun at Ride Sierra Nevada who can provide a guided service. shaun@ridesierranevada.com

Do you provide a downhill shuttle service?

If you notify us at the time of your booking, we can plan for that service. We have a Polaris RZR 4 Seater Buggy which is available and is an exciting way to get shuttled!

What if I have a mechanical problem during my rental period?

If there is the unlikely situation where the bike has a mechanical failure, our mechanic on site will repair the bike and have you back out as soon as possible.
